to my little sis

.......... you will have the joy, the pleasure, and satisfaction of nurturing this child, after its resurrection, until it reaches the full stature of its spirit.' There is restitution, there is growth, there is development, after the resurrection from death. I love this truth. It speaks volume of happiness, of joy and gratitude to my soul. Thank the Lord he has revealed these principles to us." Joseph F. Smith

I came across this on a beautiful blog. I thought it was well said and I wanted to share it with you. Keep your chin up babe.

I just wanted you to know I love you so much. Im sorry you have to go through this. Im here for you whenever you need me. Stay strong.

Baby Legs!!

I have found a new thing I have totally fallen in love with!

"BabyLegs"

Who ever invited this for the babies is brilliant! You can use them to keep their legs warm, for when they are crawling, or the little girls are wearing dressing or skirts, or just for the new little babes. You wouldn't even have to deal with tights. They come in so many different patterns and the little BOYS can even wear them!!

I will buy like 20 pair! What an awesome new thing. Great idea for babyshower gifts or new mommies.

Here we go again...

We got back from Primary Children's Hospital this afternoon. I feel emotionally, physically and mentally drained. But to top it off my assumptions are right. My little guy will be having his tonsils and adenoids out September 29th. I was really hoping it would be sooner so that I could get it over with. But that is the earliest date they have. I guess it works in a way after thinking about it. I can prepare at home before he goes in and we get weeks of no sleep because he is in lots of pain. But also we have events coming up I would hate to miss.

I know he will beable to sleep better and get the rest he needs after this surgery. Mallory is the best sleeper out of my 3 ever since she had the sugery. The Dr looked at his throat today and was really surprised at how HUGE they were. he said "wow ya those are huge" It made us laugh.

A year ago last April, Mallory had her tonsils out at the age of 3. Lincoln was only a month old. Having her go through that was soo hard. When she woke up out of the anaesthesia she freaked out! She ripped her IV out and blood went every where. We couldn't get her to calm down. That was so hard for Jon and I both. Besides the fact that Jon has a weak stomach, he had to leave the room. I just sat there and held her and cried. (This was afte mallorys Freak out and they got her calmed down and back to sleep.
This is when she woke up the second time.)
She didn't have to stay over night. But as the week went on her pain seemed to get worse. After 3 almost 4 weeks she was better where she could eat more solid food. But if they eat anything that could make her throat bleed we would have to rush them into the ER Fast! It was sad to see her beg for Mac and Cheese or Roman noodles or something she loved, but she couldn't have it.
I'm worried with Lincoln more in a way because he doesn't really talk yet. I have taught him some sign language, but how do you know that's enough for a little guy like that when he is in so much pain. I feel for the parents who's children have more severe of an operation than a tonsillectomy.
Lincoln has had the same signs as Mallory did, just worse. I picked up on it pretty fast. He has been snoring LOUDLY and gasping for breaths sometimes, or restless in his sleep. Also disturbing RS or Sunday school because he is really snoring too loud. One time he was taking a nap and i went to check on him. His breathing was different. I stood and watched for a sec. He stopped breathing and his lips turned BLUE. It was pretty scary.

We will for sure be stocking up on lots of ice cream. I will keep you updated when I can. You never know how it will turn out.
