Our Christmas Card

Our Christmas Card this year.. yes Jax is crying... its what you get :)... We tried for family pic with jons work schedule but the weather didnt want to work with us.. so for now see how my kiddos have grown.
I havent gotten them all out yet but the new year isnt here yet.. so

Very quick review.... I need a new year !!

Jon lost his mom this year so he has been struggling with that, but we try to remember mom is great and is watching over him. Jon has been with Savage Industries for a year now and he stays pretty busy. We dont see him much so when we do we hog him. He has been climbing the ladder and they just love him. Great job babe!

I have just been mom for my kiddos.. who grow like WEEDS. I was also just called to nursery.

Mallory, she is now in first grade and loves it. But not a morning person. She will be 7 next month and we are just shocked at how soon she will be baptized. Mallory had expanders put in her mouth which caused her pain for awhile and now she cant tell they are there. Braces are next for this ms smartie pants. She's still very tall and does awesome in school work.

Hallie, she is a smart cookie let me tell you. She also loves to do what Mallory does a lot of the time. She just loves school and already tells me she is marrying this boy in her class....she is our pretty healthy girl and is so sweet to Jaxson. Might I add a GREAT helper to mom too. She will be 6 next month as well.

Lincoln is a fireball. A great boy and we just love him. He always has a smile on his face and makes you laugh. He loves his tv shows too and will let you know. He told me the other day that "jonny test" goes to his school. We recently found out that he is in the 1% of speech. So mr buddy and I will be going to a TLC program once a week to help him with that.

Jaxson, ........! He keeps me BUSY! but so sweet too... he does have a temper and when he doesnt like what your doing he will sure tell you!.. He loves to GLARE and im talking GLARE.. frowns those eyebrows down and just glares. He is a very smart little one for 17 mo old. He is walking all over and getting and opening everything. In March Jaxson was in the Hospital for a week with RSV and we learned that he also has asthma. So this winter we have been keeping an eye on him and have our treatments near by. Jaxson also starts nursery next month too.

Lincoln Speech

We went to our second time testing for Speech with out Lincoln buddy. ... Those of you who know him know that he has a hard time being understood. He is almost 4 (March) so I knew it was time to get him checked. I have cousin of mine who has gone through this with a couple of her kids and said that you can go to the speech person at the school and then go through the district.. ... We went to our first test which was Hearing and Sight.. PASSED.. I knew he would. We had to wait 3 weeks for our next day of testing which would be about 2 hours long. We finally got a call to go at 8:30 am Friday... We got there right before 8!... I thought it was at 8!!! My bad.... We were taken by an older guy Jon and and older lady. They were very nice and great with Lincoln. Later a lady prob my moms age came and joined and she was fun and exciting to be around. Great with my Buddy... They made LOTS of notes as they showed him book and pointed to pictures and asked different questions.. They would watch his mouth as his would say some words.. one of the ladies had him build a tower with blocks, Jon had him do things with M&Ms... Lincoln started to tease and give wrong answers! Jon and I knew he was... he did go back later and did it over again when he wasnt teasing and got them right. I love that little guy and loved watching him do things he knew.....but then they starting looking over everything that we did...... out of 100 kids Lincoln was 1%!!!.. I had to asks a few questions. i was kinda shocked.. I knew he was hard to understand even for being his mom... but 1%... wow. Later as I told my mom I cried. I dont know why...but I did.. Maybe feeling like I didnt do my best with him or feel bad .... Jon told me it would get worse before it got better! YOU KIDDING ME.. how much worse? Worse.... Anyways.. we will be doing a TLC programs 1 hour a week. Just him and I with these other kids and teachers were we will learn things.. focus on that for the week, make things to do at home. then the last half our its one on one with someone were they will teach me how to help him at home. I know it will and could be a bumpy road for us. Jax is at risk cause he has tubes. Im grateful for the time I will get with him. .....

Ok so the things they said he does with his speech are , He will cut off endings of words.. just leave it cause he cant say it.. another is he will leave a letter out of a word, skip it or put something else in its place thats easier to say. He said to Pass the word to everyone he is getting help and to please not correct him. Asking him a question to see if thats what he is saying so you can help him is not correcting him. They only want him to have to Correct or be corrected with the teachers/myself or jon who know how to correct him. ... so after the Holidays we will be heading to our class.

PTA Message to our Families

I read the PTA handout today and was very excited to share what was in their newsletter for December. Its exactly what I have been trying to do this month to be more like our Savior and celebrate his birth. Service has been big on my heart this month and this letter put it into perfect words for me so I wanted to share with you all.

Kevin was a friend of mine in HS, he later became a good friend to my brother and was really good to him.
I will always remember Kev as a funny, friendly guy who just fun in life.
We are thinking of you at this time and your beautiful family always. RIP Kev!

Kevin Max McDaniel

1984 ~ 2010

Our loving son, father, fiance and brother, Kevin Max McDaniel, age 26, passed away at his home from complications of hypertension on November 21, 2010. He was born February 14, 1984 in Provo, Utah, a son of David R and Shari Stanworth McDaniel. Kevin graduated from Mountain View High School in 2002. Since his graduation he has worked with his father in their plumbing business. Kevin was a hard worker and enjoyed being with his Dad.

Kevin was an avid Yankees fan, as well as a BYU Football fan, he never missed a game. His greatest joy came from spending time with his son Payton and just being with his family. He was a loving son, brother, fiance, and nephew. He was also a fun and loving uncle to his nephews Keagan King and Collin McDaniel.

He is survived by his parents, Dave and Shari McDaniel of Orem, his son Payton David McDaniel, his only brother Bryan (Lauren) McDaniel of Orem, his fiance, Vivian Marchbanks of Orem. He is also survived by his grandparents, Rulon and Marilyn McDaniel of Alpine, Steve and Pat Kay of Provo, as well as his uncles, aunts and cousins who dearly love him.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Alpine City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sundbergolpinmortuary.com

Captain Jack Sparrow- We love you!

We had a horrible Halloween this year when we heard my baby sister say she lost her dog. Of course we pray he always comes home.. but this time it didnt happen. Halloween night Jack was "trick or treating" in his costume with the neighborhood kids..while keeping his distance.

Jack had been loosing his sight and hearing..... He was struck by a car and killed. This was Devastating news and we had just lost a great family member and someone VERY dear to my sister. HE was her BABY from birth, he came from MIssouri on a plane and turned her life around.

Nov.1st was a hard day for me. I wanted to help her ease the pain anyway I could. With help and suggestions from Mindy in Germany and Mom at work we had some great Ideas...but it was still going to be hard. Mom made some calls and found Jack at the Shelter in Sp. Fk. ... after some pondering, Tasha and Nate came. I wont do details but It was pretty Hard! I felt emotions from when Jon was in a horrible accident 3 years ago (today) .... Tasha was now sharing that day and emotions with me. ..... I didnt realize till later that night when tasha text me that it was the 3 yr ann. of Jons wreck. Im so grateful he is still here with me and our family.

Today is going to be tough too as we say goodbye to Captain Jack Sparrow. We love you jack and will miss you and your mommy will always love you and a special place in her heart!
