WE ARE STOKED!!!

So Jon is getting a little Christmas early. He is getting to go to the Vegas Bowl in 11 days!!! The best part is I get to go with him WITHOUT KIDS! First time ever. Thats pretty sad. On top of that we get to go with both of his Brothers and Both of our SIL's.

I wasnt going to go. It was just a Jon thing. But the other wifes were going and we have been growing closer so It was perfect. NO money and not wanting to leave my kids I wasnt going. Jon came home and warned me that I was going to get some calls from my SILs. Well I got and Email from Jen, then a call and facebook message from Jill. It didnt take long...besides I had to ask my trusted sitter (my little sis) if she would be willign to take my kiddos for almost 3 days.. besides the fact that Im going out of State!! Ive never been to the Vegas stripe or anything like that. Mindy told me to go before I could even ask her to watch them. She is GREAT! I called Jen back and she just about screamed in the phone. Her first answer to the phone was (basically) "are you going to vegas?" LOL I loved it!!! So we get to leave in about 11 days. We will stop at Jills Condo friday night I think and have fun in St. Geroge then off to VEGAS BABY!!!!

Christmas Parade!!!!!!!

Dec. 6th 10 a.m.--Santa's Candy Land Christmas Parade. This year's Christmas parade route will run along West Center Street moving East toward University Avenue.

Smoked Turkey anyone??

Jon is loving the cooking thing. I'm not complaining!! He is going to smoke a Turkey for his families Christmas party... so he wanted to practice... on my Family. LOL... So at 7 am Sunday morning he was up trying to get the turkey started. He ran into a couple problems.. First he wasn't sure how to get the guts and neck out so he kept asking me and eventually the neck just stayed in a cooked with it.. He broke it inside. Then somehow the propane tank was burning inside the pipe and not getting inside the smoker to get it to the heat he needed. After all that and about 8 or 9 hours smoking and checking on it and him being a stress ball and helping me out quite a bit.. he did a great job for the first time!! Love you HUNNY

He was pretty tired after all this. He even started to do the dishes for me cause I couldnt stomach the smell anymore. So while doing them a dish broke and he cut his knuckle. Sorry Hun, But thanks for the efforts.

Then we played The Worst Case Scenario..
This game cracks me up!!! here are just a few of the questions.

HOW TO SURVIVE SHARING AN OFFICE WITH A GASEOUS CO-WORKER?
A: Offer your co-worker chewing gum at any opportunity, particularly bubble gum. Keep some in an easily accessible candy dish at all times.
B: Encourage this person tot drink soda instead of coffee
C:Keep peppermint Tea on h and at all times. Drink some after meals, loudly touting how great it make you feel.

HOW TO REACT IF YOUR TV CATCHES FIRE.
A: Pull the plug and cover the TV from behind with a blanket to suffocate the flames.
B: flip the TV on its front and quickly turn off the power circuit.
C: Make sure the TV is turned off, then throw water on the flames.

These are just pretty funny to me. The directions say they are all right answers.. which one is the best.

FINALLY A DREAM COME TRUE!
It was the day before Thanksgiving, Im sleeping on my moms couch (morning sickness, uggh)
and I get woke up by mom and mindy saying " Katrina you want to go to Celine?" I dont think I have woke up from nap that fast!
I was still dazed but not sure what was going on ! Tasha was on the speaker phone. She just got 2 tickets from work, I couldnt be happier for her!!!!!
We are huge DIE HARD Celine Fans!!!!! We just are too poor to afford her awesome shows!
FEBURARY 22 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Celine has always been an inspiration to me. She is so genuine, loves everyone, so positive, just a great person overall.

Well waiting in line (Thanks min, mom and tash) was so worth it even if i didnt get home until close to 3 am. The Characters were awesome.. I laughed so hard, and I cried too....can i blame that on being pregnant? lol...
I will be seeing it again Sat morn and Sat afternoon... Im nuts!! You are just going to have to see it.

Yes of course not as much detail as the book, but still worth the waiting!! The music even was perfect!AAAAHHHH I love good movies!

I was tagged by my friend kayla to write seven random things about myself so here it comes!

1. I am a huge scrapbooker. Ever since I was 12 I have scraped about everything. Its the one thing I love to sit and do. Its so fun.

2. I have always been interested in being a photographer. When i was a little kid i said i wanted to be a photographer. ( its been really itching me lately, well see what happens.)
3. I am a Horse Lover! I grew up with horses. My grandma always had horses and they were "mine" I still have a dream of living on Ranch and having horses! I wanted to be a barrel racer.
4. Im a country girl at heart. I love cowboy boots. Im just country girl!
5. It doesnt matter who is coming over, my house has to be clean!! I drives me nuts if anything is out of place.
6. I hate answering the door and the phone( sorry) but i dont always ignore either.. I usually really cant hear my dumb cell phone.
7. I am a big family person. I love having friends.. I care about everyone and how they feel. I wish I could help everyone...

I never had a chance to talk to you on Saturday. The
police asked me to let everyone know what happened to us on Friday
night, so people can be prepared:

It was about 10:30pm on Friday night. I was reading in
bed and Chuck was getting ready to do the same when someone pounded on
our front door, rang the bell and ran away. Chuck went downstairs,
looked thru the sidelights and called out: 'You are not going to believe
this, Denise. There is a man tied up on our front steps!'

I told him not to open the door as I was going to call
911. As I did, I could see the man from upstairs. He was wearing black,
small shorts, nothing else. He had a white mask on so we could not see
his face, and his wrists were tied to his ankles with duct tape. He
started: 'Help, somebody help me' but we did nothing. The police was on
their way. As I was talking with the 911 dispatcher, I saw the man first
pull his right hand away from the duct tape, then his left hand, and
then he pulled the duct tape away from his ankles and ran away!

The police patrolled our neighborhood all night long,
but could not find anyone, or the mask and ring of duct tape. He told us
to tell everyone not to open the door, ever, even if someone is bleeding
at our door steps. Had we opened the door, other people may have gotten
inside our house, since it was obvious that someone other than the
masked man rang our bell and knocked on the door.

It was very difficult to fall asleep that night. We
need to be sure our doors are locked early in the evening, and not when
we are about to go to bed, and that our alarms are always turned on.

Making a bad memory into a great day

Jon, the kids and I went shooting with Jons brother Kenny. We wanted to just be a family today. It was FABULOUS weather up Hobble Creek Canyon and of course so pretty. I had so much fun. So did the kids and it was fun getting to shoot with Kenny. We sure missed Jen and the kids though.

I have always known how important my family is to me, my husband, but when its almost taken away from you it puts a different light on it. So just being with my family and enjoying doing something different was so fun.

After we went shooting we went and got dinner, picked up some ice cream and came home to watch the 3-D Journey to the Center of the Earth with the kids after we had our dinner. We got kids in the bath, turned the movie on and about 20 minutes in we paused it to get yummy ice cream cones and back to the movie. The girls called it our pajama party.
